We have some very special friends
who help us from day to day
Lending a hand when times are rough
and remembering us when they pray
Everyone needs somebody else and
just as they look up to you
We look up to our special friends
and applaud the things they do
Some friends fight for children's rights,
how we must protect and save the young
We must keep them safe from predators
tuck them home in bed when day is done
Others speak out for mans best friend
because their voices cannot be heard
There is so much hurt in the world today
sometimes it's hard to put into words
Domestic violence is yet another cause
some of our friends fight strongly for
Helping the abused and battered ones to
lift their heads high and walk out the door
Some friends are Angels without wings
who help locate the missing and lost
Spreading the word out into the world
it doesn't matter the price or the cost
We have many other special friends
who spend each day doing their parts
Helping the weak and less fortunate ones
to start over and have a new start
Our hats go off to each and every one
showing kindness and support and love
We can all make this world a better place
with these things and Gods help from above
